Sunday services run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and include hymns, prayers, a sermon, a children’s message, offering, and a choir anthem. Occasionally, we also have guest vocalists or instrumentalists. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, also known as communion, is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
Come as you are. There is no dress code and people wear everything from jeans to suits. We want you to be comfortable and to wear what feels right for you.
Eastminster does have a traditional, liturgical worship style. What does this mean? The service follows the same format each week: Gathering, Proclamation of the Word, and Response to the Word. The congregation follows a liturgy written by the pastor each week that is spoken responsively.
Music is traditional. There is a choir led by Jadrian Tarver who perform an anthem most weeks and a Handbell Choir, led by Heather Myer. Tamar Mikeladze performs on Eastminster’s beautiful pipe organ.
We are also a warm and welcoming congregation. You will be greeted at the door and are welcome to join us in fellowship time immediately following the service. If you wish to be contacted or to sign up for our weekly email, you can make a note on the fellowship pad that is passed down the pews during the service or you can stop at the Welcome Table to sign in and pick up any information about our church that you would like.
